Success: Fresh water collection system for Primary School in Kenya

We’re shouting from the rooftops this week about all our successes and the latest project we have helped fund will enable children in a primary school in Kenya to enjoy fresh water. We love this project and want to say a massive thank you to all the backers who made this possible. The project raised a massive 35% in one day and ended their campaign on 189%.

Makongeni is a village on the South Coast of Kenya, about 40km South of Mombassa. It is home to a state primary school with over 200 pupils from the village and surrounding area. The school (and the village itself) has a major problem with fresh water. This project wanted to raise enough money to work with the community and repair the old system providing a sustainable source of fresh water.

Only £180 was needed to complete the project, meaning the extra £160 raised through the site can be used for the Youth Group farm project.

The crowdfunder team are so pleased for everyone involved in this project and are so happy it was such a massive success  A huge thank you to all backers and well done to everyone involved in the project.
