M&S Energy have again come together with energyShare and Crowdfunder for The M&S Energy Community Energy Fund, enabling more communities in the UK to generate renewable energy and become environmentally and financially sustainable.
M&S first launched the fund in July 2015 with some fantastic results, receiving over 240 applications, shortlisted 136 projects and announced the 26 project winners in October 2015.
Since the funds were distributed to the 2015 winners, they’ve made great progress to install and are now enjoying the benefits of renewable energy generation. It’s been a fantastic year following up with the winners, and hearing their stories.
As well as voting, this years competition will have an additional crowdfunding element, giving entrants the chance to crowdfund alongside their voting campaign, and receive pledges from their supporters.
The 2016 applications are now open and will close on 31 May 2016!
There is up to £350,000 of funding to award to renewable energy projects around Great Britain.
If you’ve got a community project that wants to use renewable energy to provide community benefits, this is your chance to secure funding! Whether you’re a community energy group, a sports club or simply an organisation that wants to have a positive impact on the environment, we want to hear from you.
This year, applications are open to projects who require a maximum of £12,500 within each of the 21 M&S regions.
You can apply if you are looking to install:
