It’s fantastic to see project owners wanting to showcase the talents of a number of people and the latest project to do this is Demented Eloquence. Demented Eloquence has been happening in Aberdeen for quite some time and this year will happen again, thanks to the crowd!
The evening normally takes place in Cellar 35, a performance and music bar situated in the central Aberdeen. The team behind the project want to extend and put on six three hour shows between June and November. They asked the crowd to help them raise £1,000 to make this happen.
Each show will feature a headline spoken word act, at least one supporting spoken word act, a musician or band, and an open mic. Each evening will finish with tunes from resident DJ Dunproofin. It’s the only regular night of its kind–primarily about the verbal arts but also featuring music, and sound/spoken collaborations–in Aberdeen.
We love that artists have collaborated and raised the funds to put on a series of great evenings. We hope they go down a storm!
