From crowdfunding the spark of an idea to selling on – discover the story of The Cornish Ketchup Company.

The Cornish Ketchup Company was founded by Chris and Kris, two friends from Cornwall with a passion for real, tasty food. Fired up by creating incredible ketchup, the pair launched their business determined to prioritise flavour and social good.

As well as focusing on local and natural, the duo created a ketchup with ambition. Through sourcing ingredients with local suppliers and partnering with People and Gardens,  a horticultural foundation that supports people with learning difficulties or emotional impairments via commercial growing, they created a sauce that gives back to the community.

To raise awareness and financial support for their product, the Cornish Ketchup Company took part in the UK’s first ever Crowdfunder LIVE event,  connecting with thousands of supporters and securing pledges from 162 backers in a couple of hours to raise funds to grow their business.  Shortly after their crowdfunding success, the Cornish Ketchup Company were accepted as a Partner by, giving them the opportunity to reach millions of customers via the UK’s leading online curated marketplace. Since launch, the pair have focused on continued innovation in their ketchup varieties which now includes chilli, smokey and red pepper options alongside their original special recipe.

Now Crowdfunder and have teamed up to offer the heady mix of crowdfunding and a platform from which to grow their business to some of the best new food and drink producers across the UK.  

UK innovators in food and drink can add a project to and raise the funds they need to get their ideas off the ground.

The most unique and stand-out projects could then also be selected by to join its curated Partner base of 5,000 of the UK’s best creative small businesses.
