Do you know a community legend?

Crowdfunder have partnered with Legal & General to find the projects that amplify life for those aged 55+ and offer the chance to win up to £5,000 towards a Crowdfunder project.

If you’re 55 years old or over and exploring your entrepreneurial spirit or if your project amplifies life for those aged over 55, then there might be some extra funding available for you. Social enterprises, community groups, businesses and ideas that are committed to supporting the variation and adventure of life for those aged 55 and over are all invited to enter, with ten winning positions available in the competition.

There’s £50,000 in total to give away to the ten selected projects that are benefitting the legends in our communities, with the aim of the game being to crowdfund as much as possible, unlocking more of the allocated £5,000 each step of the way.

That’s up to £5,000 towards an idea on top of what is raised from the crowd!

Crowdfunder alumni and no-nonsense pensioner Mummy Meagz would certainly fit the bill. She’s on a mission to create impossibly indulgent vegan snacks that are suitable for everyone. Meagz used crowdfunding to raise £10,724 and take her business to the next level.

Norwich Mustard would also tick the criteria, led by frontman Robert Ashton; an outspoken and strongly ethical social entrepreneur. Looking to lay down the foundations to turn Norwich Mustard into a community owned cooperate, this Crowdfunder project raised an impressive £13,823 from the crowd.

And now is your chance to shake up life for community legends!

To enter the competition, your project must have a collaborative and purposeful ethos and either be led by someone over the age of 55 or impact life for those aged 55 years old and over.

If you think that your idea fits the bill, then Crowdfunder wants to hear from you. Make your application here!
