#GiveToGet – music takeover on Instagram

We’re Hannah and Kyran, two students from The Woodroffe School, taking part in work experience at the Crowdfunder office in Bridport.

We’ve been working with the team to try and raise awareness of the rewards and benefits of funding projects within our peer group on Crowdfunder.

We choose to focus our campaign on the youth due to a survey we carried out via snapchat in which we found that only 7% of the 300 13-18 year olds we asked knew about crowdfunding.

This led us to start brainstorming our approach towards a social media based campaign.

The result is our #GiveToGet Instagram Music Takeover in which we we’re allowed access to the company’s official page to spread the word of the extensive variety of music projects.

We chose to focus on music as our main marketing point as the result from a second survey, asking what teenagers would like to see as rewards, we got an extremely positive reply for music with many asking about tickets and EP’s.

This gave us a great foundation for our campaign as theres where thousands of interesting and rewarding projects raising on Crowdfunder.

• Hannah and Kyran spent a week with us in our creative studio in Bridport, and used the music of one of the artists currently crowdfunding on our platform in their promo video. We’re impressed with the quality of their work and the ideas they brought in their time with us!
