5 reasons why you should pledge on a Crowdfunder project on #GivingTuesday

If you’re looking for a more meaningful trend to get on board with after the chaos of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, then look no further. We’re delighted to be an official partner of #GivingTuesday and would highly recommend pledging on one of the incredible causes that are raising funds on Crowdfunder as the perfect place to start with your do-good attitude on 28th November.

#GivingTuesday has taken social media by storm and is now an international initiative that promotes the act of ‘doing good stuff’ for charities – or for any cause you like for that matter. Running in over 70 countries, #GivingTuesday has become one of the most important days for the charity sector in Britain, with millions of pounds being raised for good causes in just 24 hours alone.

The core message that even the smallest acts of giving can have the biggest impact truly resonates with us at Crowdfunder, as we are lucky enough to witness how every single pledge, no matter how big or small, has the potential to transform a crowdfunding project and contribute to making positive change happen.

If you’re not sure how to do your bit on #GivingTuesday, then why not start by heading on over to Crowdfunder.co.uk to have a browse at some of the great causes crowdfunding for their idea?

Why pledge on a Crowdfunder project on #GivingTuesday?

1. You can give to a cause that you really believe in.

We have hundreds of projects that are currently looking to raise funds on Crowdfunder.co.uk. Have a browse of our projects, find a cause that truly resonates with you or that is in your local area and place your pledge.

2. You can pledge on more than 1 project!

There are so many good causes to choose from that you might find it hard to pick! Pledging on a Crowdfunder project couldn’t be easier, making it really simple for you to show some support.

3. It’s a transparent way of giving money.

Those that come to Crowdfunder to raise funds for their cause set a specific target which will enable them to make their idea happen. By giving money to one of these causes, you can see the direct impact of your pledge and have the opportunity to bring about real change in your own community.

4. By pledging on a Crowdfunder project, you become part of a really special story.

You’re small act of kindness by pledging can go a long way in helping to get an idea off the ground. Due to this, we provide our project owners with the tools to keep their supporters involved in every step of the journey. Each time a project owner posts an update on the project that you supported (which they can continue to do after the project closes), you will receive a notification to keep you up to date with the latest news.

5. It’s a great opportunity to support ‘the little guy’.

You can support an established charity, but you can also support individuals and community groups. It’s a unique opportunity to donate money towards much smaller initiatives.

6. And last but not least, because we couldn’t help but add another reason to pledge… You might even get a reward!

Whilst you can simply make a donation, some of our project owners offer excellent rewards in return for your pledge. Details of any rewards that a particular cause has on offer can be found on their Crowdfunder project page.

So if you’re thinking of something to do to show an act of kindness on #GivingTuesday, then why not place a pledge on a Crowdfunder project?

Don’t forget to share your support on Tuesday 28th November by posting about your act of giving on social media along with the hashtag #GivingTuesday.
