I ran the winning campaign against Scottish Independence in 2014, today I'm running to be the next Member of Parliament for East Renfrewshire.
East Renfrewshire is home for me. I was raised here and I'm raising my family here. I want to be a campaigning local MP focussed on making our home better rather than on dividing us from our neighbours. I won't go to Westminster to back a hard brexit or to cheerlead for independence. Instead I'll stand up for people whose voice isn't heard by those in power.
No one can doubt my commitment to the Union or my determination to stand up to the SNP. East Renfrewshire gave one of the strongest no votes in the independence referendum, yet it elected an SNP MP because the votes of the majority were split.
The Tories came a distant third at last General Election but they took just enough votes away from Labour to let the SNP win. Don't risk it this time: whatever is happening nationally, only Labour can beat the SNP in East Renfrewshire. Support the campaign to elect me on June 8th and send a strong message that we are tired of the politics of division and that don't want another referendum.
As a political campaign we have to abide by electoral law. This means, if you are kind enough to donate more than £50, your name and address will be checked again the electoral register to ensure that you are eligible to donate and your name will be given to the council's returning officer.
