Bison Kitchen -: The Diner

Bison Kitchen -: The Diner

Authentic, delicious tastes of the Americas, brought to you from Stroud town centre

Unfortunately this project was not successful

On 3rd Mar 2016 our project closed

We are a husband and wife team who run a street food business based in the beautiful cotswold town of Stroud. Our food is the only one of its kind in the area and we use local suppliers for our meat and fresh produce that come from farms within a 30 mile radius. Shane is the Chef, classically trained and has been working in in the food industry for ten years now. We started Bison Kitchen in June 2015, when we realised there was a real gap in the market for fun, fresh food that was different to most other offerings in the area. We bought our sturdy van Bubba, a converted ambulance, and Since then we have been serving up our salty, smokey and sweet treats at pubs, galleries, festivals, breweries, parties, markets and weddings. In the short time we have been running, the demand for our food has out grown what we are able to produce in our little van and we would like to set up shop, or to be more precise, set up diner! We would like to take over the old 'Funky Falafel' shop in John street Stroud, opposite Stroud Valley Artspace, so we can stay open longer, offer a wider range of our dishes, have some where for people to sit and be right in the middle of town.

Some of the things we would like to offer that are otherwise not available in Stroud include, Aero pressed coffee, a wide range of authentic menu items from all over North America made with tasty fresh ingredients from farmers and producers within a 30 mile radius (where available), and most importantly warm, friendly, good ol' fashioned service with a smile.

We (Shane and wife Maisie) met 8 years ago whilst sailing a replica of the HMS Bounty in the deep south of America. We both have a passion for food, Shane is classically trained from Le Cordon Bleu with a taste for real BBQ and smoked things whilst Maisie is self taught cook who has a magic touch with baking. We moved to the UK after marrying in 2010 and since then have enjoyed running a field kitchen together. After our two buns came out of the oven, we decided to start Bison Kitchen and haven't looked back.

Dishes we serve include -:
