New stretch target
A huge thank you to everyone who has pledged support so far. Thanks to you, children across the north-west and Kent can experience Bardolph's Box in their local library or arts centre. Any extra money we raise will help provide resource packs (Bardolph's Tool Box) free of charge to school groups who attend a performance, and enable more children to experience the production.
Bardolph’s Box is a brand new production: an introduction to Shakespeare’s stories for 8-12 year olds and their families. Your support will help us tour the show to libraries, school halls and arts centres across Kent and the north-west.
Some of our shows are free, and we have made a commitment to low ticket prices to make the performances affordable for our audiences.
We (Up the Road Theatre) started work on the project in December 2015 with a week of Research and Development at Unity Theatre, Liverpool, followed by a second week in Kent. We are rehearsing at Unity this February.
The tour commences in the north-west on March 1st, taking in the highways and byways of Merseyside before dropping down to the south-east on March 14th and then finishing in Liverpool in early April.

The show has been co-devised by the actors, director and a Production Assistant, click here for an insight into the creative process.

Everyone needs a helping hand at times and I’m just the boy for the job!
Who will we meet? Where will we go? Can you get my pals out of a pickle?
One thing’s for sure, we’ll have a whole lot of fun along the way!
