Please help Rothiemurchus and Aviemore Tennis Club to achieve its ambitious Courts4All project which will provide a unique local facility which will be accessible for a range of activities and all ages and abilities and give our talented youngsters the chance to play all year round - whatever the weather!

We have applied for funding* and have raised over £20,000 ourselves, but there is still a £10,000 shortfall - please help us plug the gap!

Our project will not only develop tennis in the Scottish Highlands, but will also provide a facility that will be accessible by other clubs and groups and will enable and encourage residents and visitors of all ages and abilities, particularly youngsters and older people, to be more active out of doors in many different ways.

Our plans are to enhance our facilities through the upgrading of the three existing courts with a polymeric surface and to build a new multi-purpose court covered by a canopy structure creating a flood-lit indoor play provision.

Club members, friends and family are raising funds by playing in a 24 hour Tennisathon 24-25 June - please support them by making a donation!

The project will create a unique facility in Badenoch & Strathspey, enabling play throughout the year, whatever the weather, and promoting sports and outdoor activity for all ages and abilities, including youngsters, the elderly and those with disabilities. This facility will be used and enjoyed by other clubs and groups in the area, and will significantly add to the recreational and sporting opportunities available in the Cairngorms National Park.

These enhanced facilities will enable many individuals and groups to be active in the fresh air and this will promote:

  • physical and mental health and well-being amongst all age groups;
  • provides opportunities for younger children to develop motor skills and co-ordination and to enjoy social and physical activities out of doors;
  • assists those with learning and physical disabilities to participate in sport and outdoor play, and
  • enables older people to keep active for longer.

All who support the project (unless they wish to donate anonymously) will have their name recorded on our website and displayed in the clubhouse as a recognition of their generosity.

*If our funding applications don't bear fruit this year, we will put all monies raised from this appeal into resurfacing the existing three courts and start new funding applications for the covered court in 2018.
