From the people who brought you Jar of Angels. Triskelle Pictures in association with Taylor | Winter Films present Ashes.
Ashes is a short film about the moment when the person you trust most in the world turns on you. It features two characters, Sarah and Mark (played by Sarah Lamesch and Adam Lannon) and one room, portrayed in four different ways. At it& 39;s rawest, Ashes is a drama film, akin to Shame and Sleeping Beauty. But, as we delve into Sarah& 39;s own mind, it& 39;s a visual thriller, as the room changes to represent Sarah& 39;s emotions as they move from happiness, to doubt, to fear.
Ashes features a crew of independent filmmaking talent - including writer/director Sophie Black and cinematography by Crash Taylor & Richard Winter - and the money you donate will help cover theirs and the actors& 39; travel and food costs. It will also pay for the rental of equipment and those all-important festival entry fees.
Your money will also go towards the purchase of props and set dressing - such as a bed and other furniture, and, unusually enough, hundreds of roses and ornamental hands! Some of these props, once used, will even be available as prizes for those who donate £100 or more towards the project.
Most importantly, due to the subject nature of this film, will be making it with the support of the charity Wan 2 Talk, and any money we have left after the completion of Ashes will be sent as a donation to them, to help them continue with their good work. Yet another reason to help us raise money!
