A pot of extra funding to help individual artists and their projects

We’ve got £125,000 of extra funding available to individual artists in England, who have dreams and ideas for inspiring new creative projects.

The aim of this campaign is to support the English arts scene – by championing creativity and new ideas, especially if they have the potential to reach new audiences.

Our hope is that we’ll provide more opportunities for a wide range of people to get involved with creating and experiencing art.

The extra funding is for eligible artists who are looking to raise between £4,000 and £40,000.

To unlock your share, the first thing you’ll need to do is add your project to Crowdfunder (you can do that here).

We’ll help you get it up and running – that’s the easy bit.

After that, it’s up to you to prove that people want to see you bring this piece of work to life – you’ll need to reach out to your fans, audiences and fellow artists to pledge on Crowdfunder.

And you’ll need to think of creative ways to get people involved (but that’s what you’re good at).

Once your project gets going, we’ll watch and wait for it to hit 25% before we consider giving it some extra cash.

If you meet the criteria, we will consider if your project should receive 25% of its funding target.

If you're successful you can go forth and create.

Your Crowd

Tell us all about your artistic dream and get your fans, audience members and fellow artists to back you up on Crowdfunder.

Get Funding

When you reach 25% of your target, we’ll consider giving you extra funding – this would be 25% of your total project size.

Crowdfund the arts

Successful artistic and cultural projects enrich lives and open doors.

All about you

Do you fit the bill? You’ll need to demonstrate your previous achievements on your Crowdfunder page – tell us about any commissions you’ve received and work you’ve completed. Some other things to think about:

Try something new

You must be looking to test new approaches, work in new contexts or work with new people. Ideally, your work will have the potential to reach some different audiences, too.

Tell your story

Think of creative ways to tell the story of what you're doing and getting  people involved (but that’s what you’re good at).

We're not accepting

Projects outside of England, narrative film projects, or artistic projects that don’t provide any public benefit (for instance, artists buying equipment or instruments that won’t be used in public).

Cost effective

Your project target

Your Crowdfunder target must be between £4,000 and £40,000.
