Apollo Opera is a new company formed by Coloratura Soprano, Shiona Cormack for the benefit of emerging artists.

Our goal is to give 'young' professionals the opportunity to perform roles they might not otherwise get to explore in the early days of their career and let singers have a place to gain valuable experience and work on roles key to their own repertoire list. When possible we would like to give these singers the opportunity to work alongside experienced singers.

Whilst we are happy to work to a budget, it would wonderful to have some help to cover some of the many expenses involved in putting on an Opera performance and be able to present as good a performance as possible. Beyond things that would probably first spring to peoples mind such as costume and props, costs include: hire of rehearsal venue, hire of performance venue and piano, publicity materials, travel and accomodation for singers. This is without paying the singers.

Apollo Opera will be presenting an exciting new interpretation of Mozart's 'The Magic Flute' which will be performed in English. Performances will be in Peterborough, Cambridge and Milton Keynes.

The cast will include experienced professionals. emerging artists and talented amateur singers from the East Midlands. We will be working with Make up artists and Hairdressing students from Peterborough Regional College; giving them valuable work experience in a professional theatre production.

Our exciting production will include multimedia staging.

Please help to make this all possible!
