Animal Matters are trying to raise enough money to begin our journey to becoming hydro-therapists!
The money you kindly donate will go towards putting one of our staff members through the hydro course to become qualified. Any extra money raised will go towards extra courses to ensure we have as much experince as we can before we start building our client base and will also go towards buying a hydro-pool, underwater treadmill and building a brand new hydro centre.... we have big dreams!
Animal Matters is currently a small dog walking and pet services business ran by two sisters. We are both only in ours twenties so have our whole working lives to expand and grow our business, always with animal welfare as our top priority. Abbie, who first started the business, has worked with animals since she was 15. Working in different vet practices and along side top dog trainers has allowed her to see first hand how hydrotherpy can benefit many different dogs, for many different reasons. Gemma, the older sister, first started looking into human physiotherapy and massage but since becoming a partner in the business has enjoyed working closely with the dogs and has realised the need for more hydro-therapists for our canine companions, especially within our local area.
Our hydrotherapy centre will be aimed towards helping rehabilitate dogs who have suffered injuries, or had amputations causing muscle damage or loss, have joint issues, for example dogs diagnosed with osteoarthritis, or dogs that are trying to lose weight safely. All of these issues can be massively helped by hydrotherapy as it is excellent excerise which doesn't put any stress on their joints.
