New stretch target
Great News. We will be producing more units to meet the high demand for the iPop deluxe CD.
Erasure's Violet Flame support act 'Shelter' released their collaborative album 'iPop' featuring Erasure front man Andy Bell, digitally on 12th May 2014. The 18 track album was an instant success recieving 5 star reviews, radio play and charting in a number of different iTunes album charts across the globe.
We know that many fans still prefer a physical and collectable CD or vinyl record to a digital download and we wnat to give these fans the opportunity to buy a special limited edition physical copy. We are also offering another opportunity for fans to buy Shelter's 5 star debut album 'emerge' as part of this Cowdfunder campaign. All releases are brimming with Shelter's unmistakeable electro-pop sound.
iPop Deluxe 3 Disc CD
The iPop CD will be a deluxe limited edition 3 disc CD with 40 remixes of the 8 iPop tracks 'Beautiful', 'Lift me Up', 'Stars', 'Destination', 'Electrostatic', 'Go Hard or Go Home', 'Friend' and 'In Somebody's Arms'. Track 40 is an exclusive mix of Beautiful featuring Andy Bell on vocals and is the extended mix as performed by Shelter live on Erasure's recent Violet Flame tour.
iPop Vinyl Edition
We are pressing the 8 iPop tracks on a very limited edition vinyl disc and subject to space will be adding one or two remixes. More details to follow.
iPop the Singles CD
We're giving people another chance to purchase the limited edition Andy Bell iPop the Singles CD containg 10 remixes of the 4 iPop singles, "Beautiful', Friend', 'Stars' and 'Lift me Up'. Both remixes of 'Lift Me Up' feature input from Vince Clarke.
Shelter's debut album 'emerge' CD
Lots of people who saw us perform on the Violet Flame tour have asked if our debut album 'emerge' would be available on CD so we're also giving people another chance to buy this album. It features 11 Shelter tracks and 6 collaborations including Andy Bell, Frankmusic, Alex Reid and Alignment North.
All tracks for the CD and Vinyl releases are recorded, produced, mastered and ready to go to press. The artwork is currently being prepared too and we'll post updates on this as it becomes available. As a small start up independant record label, Ministry of Pop is using this crowdfunding process to raise money to produce these physical CDs and Vinyl editions.
Things have really started to take off for Shelter in the last 6 months, particularly since supporting Erasure on their Violet Flame Tour, at dates in the UK, Germany and Denmark, during December 2014. We're now a three man team managing the whole end to end operation and we know that we need funds to buy in essential help to keep the momentum going. We plan to reinvest any surplus proceeds from this crowdfunding campaign straight back into Shelter and our own independant record label the Ministry of Pop, so that w ecan continue to grow and deliver great music.
About The Band
Shelter are made up of songwriters, producers and artists Mark R Bebb and Rob Bradley aka DJ Jekyll. Shelter supported Erasure on their recent sell out Violet Flame tour at dates in Wolverhampton, Manchester, Cologne, Dresden, Hamburg, Berlin, Aarhus and Copenhagen. They were national regional finalists in Future Music Publishing's national song writing competition from over 8,000 entries and have supported many established acts at large outdoor events. They have had 5 #1's so far on USA's first internet chart Soundclick and they have released collaborations with mainstream artists Andy Bell & Frankmusik.
Why are we crowdfunding?
Crowdfunding for us is more than just a great way to overcome the prohibitive costs of manufacturing and dsitributing CDs that small labels and new bands like ours face, we alos believe it's much better for the environment in that we only produce and manufacture what is needed.
Why is this so important?
We have big plans, big dreams and some seriously monumental collaborations in the pipeline. By supporting our crowdfunder campaign, you're not only going to be getting a great pop album but you'll be helping us to produce more great music and buy in essential support that we need to break through into the charts.
We genuinely love making music for you and the positive feedback you give us makes us continually strive to do bigger and more ambitious projects for you. For those who are new to Shelter, check out our social networking sites below to find out more:
We hope that you'll support us by pledging and sharing this campaign across your social media and word of mouth. We also hope to get to meet lots of you on social media and on tour dates during 2015.
