Alpaca Maraca

Alpaca Maraca is a small not for profit charity based in Leeds providing Animal Assisted Therapy. We work with children with disabilities, adults with needs and the elderly. Alpacas provide companionship and are extremely therapeutic to stroke, comb and feed. Alpacas are trained to walk on a lead (halter trained), and this is not only a fun experience, but also a good confidence building exercise learning how to handle these amazing creatures. Alpaca Maraca is solely run by volunteers - no one gets paid and every penny goes on providing equipment, looking after the visitors and the alpacas and paying the field rent. It would be great if we could raise a £540 to help us continue Alpaca Maraca, providing us with 6 months of field rent. All donations will be most gratefully appreciated. Please check out www.alpacamaraca.com for further information. Thanks for listening and shake those maracas!
