Alison Taylor is a senior director with a national property consulting firm. She has nearly thirty years of experience in business locally and nationally.
She joined the Labour Party in 1998 having campaigned for a yes, yes vote in the devolution referendum in 1997. As Chair of Scottish Labour’s business forum for many years she has taken a lead in bringing Labour and the Scottish business community together to improve Labour’s understanding of business and creating opportunities for the Labour politicians and business leaders to work together.
Alison was born in Edinburgh and studied at Paisley College of Technology. She has lived locally since 1996.
Alison campaigned to remain in the UK during the divisive referendum and is committed to opposing a second independence referendum. Alison also supported remain in the EU referendum last year and will work to oppose a hard Tory Brexit.
Alison will bring real business experience and a deep understanding of the economy and jobs to the work of an MP.
