Our top five questions from supporters

What payment options are there for pledging?

Project owners will select which payment options they want available to their backers. There are two possible payment options available - credit/debit card and PayPal.

When will the money leave my account if I pledge on a project?

There have been recent changes to the way we take payments on Crowdfunder.co.uk.

Pledges on 'flexible funding' projects will be processed when the project is successful. Click here for more information.

Pledges on 'all or nothing' projects will be processed when the project closes successfully.

How do I cancel my pledge?

You can cancel any of your pledges from the 'My Pledges' section of your Crowdfunder profile (up to 24 hours before a project closes). This also removes you from the project's backers list.

If a project is on 'Instant Payments', the funds will leave you account at the time of pledging. Therefore, if you would like to cancel your pledge and request a refund, you will need to contact the project owner directly to do so.

Please note, If you have used Guest Checkout, you will need to follow the link in the 'thanks for your pledge' email, and signup as a full member to be able to manage your pledges.

Can I pledge anonymously?

Most project owners will give you the option of pledging anonymously on their project. To do this, simply tick the ‘pledge anonymously’ box when making your pledge.

Please note, project owners will still receive your contact information in order to deliver your reward.

How can I change my pledge to be anonymous, or not anonymous?

You can manage any of your pledges from the 'My Pledges' section of your Crowdfunder profile. To make a pledge anonymous, simply tick the 'anonymous' box, or un-tick it to make your pledge public.

Please note, If you have used Guest Checkout, you will need to follow the link in the 'thanks for your pledge' email, and signup as a full member to be able to manage your pledges.
