Help us win West Dunbartonshire and elect Martin Docherty as the area's first SNP MP.
More SNP seats means more powers for Scotland. Winning in West Dunbartonshire will be no easy task, but we have an excellent candidate and a great team who will work day & night to take the positive message to the doorsteps across this constitunecy.
West Dunbartonshire has suffered from decades of neglect by its Labour representatives. IT'S TIME FOR CHANGE!!
We can't do it without you! All election campaigns need to raise money to fund essential campiagn materials and a campaign base. We want to reach out to every voter in West Dunbartonshire, and for that we need your support.
Your support will help us run the best camapign we can to elect Martin Docherty in May 2015, a MP that the residents of West Dunbartonshire can count on.
I was raised in Clydebank, joining the SNP in 1991 and was elected as Scotland's youngest Councillor to the then Clydebank District Council in 1992 at the age of 21.
Leaving school at 16, I worked in various jobs returning to further education in 1994 gaining an HND in Business Administration, then gaining a degree in politics from the University of Essex and a Masters Degree from the Glasgow School of Art. On finishing my studies I came home and spent nearly a decade working for West Dunbartonshire Community and Volunteering Services (WDCVS), helping to support, and develop West Dunbartonshire’s community and volunteering organisations. My work in West Dunbartonshire has given me first-hand knowledge of the issues facing this community, critically for those having to deal with the austerity of the UK Government. I am presently living in exile in Whiteinch and I am a SNP Councillor on Glasgow City Council[Please note if you are kind enough to donate more than £50 to my campaign, your name and address will be checked against the electoral register to ensure that you are eligble to donate. Your name, but not your address, will be made available by the council on request after the election.]
