To raise funds for travel

Team Jets Netball

So we’ve only gone and done it!

After what was an extremely tiring and intense Bank Holiday weekend, we are delighted to announce that Team Jets have gained National Premier League status by remaining undefeated at playoffs earning the right to participate in the third tier. This achievement marks the end of a 3 year long dream since the Jets re-entered the England Netball system. Success at such a level is only possible as a result of regular competitive fixtures; Island coaches and players alike recognise that in order for them to develop and improve both as individuals and as a team it is pivotal that they compete at the highest level in the UK. Consequently, living in our beautiful Island of Jersey has its disadvantages when it comes to sport.

This page has been set up to help raise funds to cover the debt incurred for the cost of the playoff weekend. Victims of our own success we are still at a financial deficit as a result of funding the final weekend due to the expenses of our previous trips. This trip alone amounted to approximately £5,000. We are actively seeking any aid to help the repayment of the travel and accommodation. The girls have done fund raising during the season and contribute personally towards every trip. Therefore Team Jets will be very grateful to receive any donations, Thank you in advance.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank those who have backed our project to date; Gary and Noreen Norman, Michelle Devine, Anna Corden, Tara Murphy and S. Briddon.

Additionally, we would like to thank the Jersey Netball Association, Dominion in association with One Foundation and the ESC Advisory Council for their support throughout the season so far.
