Ramsbottom Young People's Project Battle of the Bands Launch Event PLUS our first activity sessions for our young people - MADE POSSIBLE BY YOU!

We got there - the Battle of the Bands will be a fabulous evening for our young musicians thanks to all you lovely pledgers! BUT JUST THINK - If we can get up to £1,000 or more we could pay for some youth enterprise sessions at our new youth night on a Friday at Nuttall Park Ranger Hut.

Ramsbottom has the most young people in the whole of Bury but there isn't much for them to do. The youth club was closed some years ago. A group of residents led by Peter Cooper, an experienced youth worker, have set up a community initiative called Ramsbottom Young People's Project. They have been successful to date in raising funds for a planned programme of activities, and they are looking to use the local Nuttall Park Rangers Hut as a base.

They did some consultation with young people in the local Woodhey High School and asked how the young people would like to launch the project. They said they would like to put on a Battle of the Bands event.

Battle of the Bands

The launch event is scheduled for the 18th of July which is the last day of term! What a way to celebrate the start of the holidays! The Ramsbottom Young People's Project intends to carry out more consultation with the young people of Ramsbottom at the event.

Please make a FURTHER pledge towards more activities.

You can pledge a fiver, a tenner - and so on, up to fifty quid and more. You will be rewarded however much you pledge. Have a look at the pledge boxes on the right.

We are also looking for volunteers to help with the event and to help out with other Ramsbottom Young People's Project activities. Please contact the project through the website.
