Please help me achieve my goal of combining A Vintage H Van and promoting Artisan Champagne in the UK
My story began in the early 2000's when I lived in Paris, working for a multi national company. Often at weekends, as a family or with friends, we would take the relatively short drive out to Champagne to enjoy the region and sample the food and wine. Quite simply, I fell in love with Champagne and all that comes with it. The rich history, traditions, the people, and not least of all, the Champagne itself. I was amazed by the sheer number of Houses producing Champagne and many producing much higher quality that the main brands and in much smaller quantities. I found myself questioning why here in the UK we only seem to enjoy a limited number of big brands. Dont get me wrong, those big brands produce a great product, but I always felt we were missing out. My vision was to open a shop here in the UK dedicated to Champagne but time and kids meant the main work had to progress. However, over the last 3 years I have developed my passion and now have a website (www.champagnecollection.co.uk) where I promote many Champagnes, Artisan and Grand Marques. My journey has started.
To continue my journey, the plan for the shop is to create a mobile Champagne shop and take Artisan Champagne out across the UK. I have created a project to purchase a vintage Citroen H Van, the image being what I have as a purchase option, which will be converted to a Champagne Bar where I can sell products and run tastings. The van needs some paint work, a new gearbox, and some refurbishment inside to get it operational. l plan to attend many major shows and festivals and for the van to become my life. I want to offer the UK the opportunity to enjoy fantastic Champagne at reasonable prices.
The project will cost around £30k and will include a vintage H van, trailer, and a new vehicle for legally towing and carrying products. I'm aiming to raise £20k and as a reward for pledging £50 or more, you will receive some amazing Artisan Champagne.
