To put on the new play Ground Rules and give 20 seats per show to community groups that can not afford trips to the theatre

Outloud Productions has the unique opportunity of producing the world premiere of Ground Rules, written by BAFTA award winner, Eric Chappell.

When a pleasant evening in the local pub turns into something completely different, long suffering Gerry soon realises that even his wife Judith’s, skills in counselling cannot control the events that are triggered - perhaps they should have let sleeping dogs lie.

If you have enjoyed the TV hit comedies The Squirrels, Rising Damp, Only When I Laugh, The Bounder, Duty Free, Singles, Haggard and Home to Roost you will know that Eric is a superb writer of comedy. His writing is beautiful crafted and a joy to watch. The play Ground Rules certainly lives up to this. And who better to direct this great comedy than Simone Vause, (generally known as Simon) who graduated from the East 15 Acting School Directors' Course in 1976 and has gone on to create amazing drama wherever she has worked. Director John Baraldi says of her – ‘she is probably the most influential teacher of acting I’ve ever met,’So putting these two incredible talents Eric and Simone together means only one thing – an amazing night out for you!

We’ve almost funded this project but we just need a little more help with the last bit – so please pledge now on ‘Crowd Funder’. In return for your donation you will receive rewards such as tickets, signed programmes, posters, the chance to meet Eric, or get an acting class with Simon or a voice class with me, Sally Lawrence the producer of the play and a BBC Voice coach. If we can raise the £1000 we will also be able to donate 20 seats for each performance to the community. So please pledge some money now! Thank you.
