                 Help Bloombox start pedalling...

Bloombox will offer fresh, leafy green, seasonal salads topped with edible flowers and delicious homemade dressings. The produce will be sourced from Edinburgh’s local organic farms, made into salads and packaged in compostable boxes. Bloombox will be cycling around the city at lunchtime using social media to broadcast it’s location. These tasty, healthy, hearty meals will be affordable and easy to pick up on the go.

You can soon enjoy delicious Bloombox salads – but first we need your interest & financial support to get Bloombox up and pedalling!

Bloombox has...

The BEST SUPPLIERS – The contents of every Bloombox will be sourced straight from Edinburgh's organic farms. This will support the local economy and ensure the salads are at their freshest and most nutritious when you buy them. Recipes will change regularly to reflect the seasons.

The SALAD CHEF – Joy has worked & volunteered in the Edinburgh food scene for years. Her experience ranges from helping organise Nourish Scotland’s Feed the 5000 project, to catering for Slow Food events and growing edibles at The Royal Botanical Gardens. Joy is a passionate cook and specialises in crafting the best seasonal salads.

The BIKE – Dutch style with a sturdy steel frame. Joy is a keen cyclist and not afraid of pedalling up hills!

The GRAND PLAN - Joy was inspired to start Bloombox seven months ago. Since then she has built relationships with local farmers and designed a range of salads. She sought the training she needed to run her own business and spoke to as many people as possible in the food industry. In the longer term Joy plans to collaborate with community projects, such as the Grassmarket Community Project, to run salad making sessions and share recipes with members who run the café.

Bloombox just needs...

YOUR HELP with the start up costs - A bike trailer & basket, rent for kitchen space, a food hygiene qualification, a trading licence, insurance, advertising, the first order of packaging & ingredients, branding, storage and much more...
