The 9th Kidderminster Scout Group (KD9) is a UK registered chairty in its own right (no.700427) and exists to actively engage and support the young people of Kidderminster, no matter what their social background, race religion is, in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society & their community.

We have around 100 members aged between 6 and 14 who all enjoy the adventourous activities that the group offer. All the photos above were taken in the last 12 months of camps and activities that the children have had the chance to participate in.

As Scouts Cubs and Beavers of KD9 our 100 plus mumbers are guided by following these values:

  • Integrity - We act with integrity; we are honest, trustworthy and loyal.
  • Respect - We have self-respect and respect for others.
  • Care - We support others and take care of the world in which we live.
  • Co-operation - We make a positive difference; we co-operate with others and make friends.

We try to run up to 10 camping trips a year sometime locally just outside Kidderminster and sometimes further a field (occassionally abroad). This mean we have to have good quality up to date camping equipment.

We try to buy good quality equipment so that it will last longer and not have to be replaced regularly. Currently we are looking to buy the following items:

CAST IRON CAMPING STOVES - 2 - £50 EACH

Double cast iron boiling ring

WET BAIN MARIE TO SERVE FOOD ON LARGE GROUP CAMPS) - 1 - £300

COOKING TONGS - 1 - £10
