A book about my time as a Cathedral chorister in the 1980s.
About the project
I became a chorister at Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford in 1983. I became Head Chorister in 1987 and left in 1988.
For a number of years I have been contemplating writing about my time as a chorister. This is because I believe that it shaped the person I have become and it was a fascinating time in my life.
This will be a frank account of my time in one of the most famous choirs in the country and my associated time at the Cathedral School.
My parents have kept a significant archive of my time in the choir and I will be able to draw on this along with my own recolections to build a fasciniating insight into the formative years of my life.
I aim to publish in the summer of 2018 to coincide with the 30th anniversary of me leaving the choir.
