The #WDYT (What do you think?) campaign brings local business together to harness the power of digital media to increase local footfall in towns and cities across the UK. The campaign was founded by Diane Savory OBE DL and Polly Barnfield OBE.
It's already helped thousands of businesses in nine towns significantly increase their digital activity and has delivered an increase in local footfall by over 22% weekly.
How is this possible? It’s all down to digital influence. Digital influence simply means how much people are talking about your town online. The more you’re talked about, the more people are likely to come visit and shop. The results prove it.
How do we measure success? To support the campaign the #WDYT team have built an index that measures the social output of every retailer in the UK each day. This gives a ranking of over 1,300 UK towns and over 150,000 retail locations that can be linked to local footfall to measure impact.
